Willis Egan
Willis Egan enlisted in the Canadian Army for service in the Second World War. He was at the Halifax docks, about to embark for Europe when someone discovered he was a professional driver in his civilian life. He was kept back to act as a chauffeur for Army brass in Halifax for the remainder of the war. Willis spotted Rodine at a WREN dance and told his buddies, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry.” And he did! They married soon after and lived in Halifax during the war. Both were honourably discharged and came home to Uxbridge to live and raise their family.
We thank him for his service.
We will remember them.
